Oh, hello, I didn’t see you there. Welcome to my home. I’m Nick. I moved from Toronto to Tokyo on March 7th, 2013, and I’m not gonna lie, it’s pretty amazing. I love it here, even if it can be rather challenging at times. To say the least. What’s life without a little challenge though? I have just completed my master’s degree at 文化学園大学 and, no T, no shade, I’m ready for the next step.
I worked in social media for years after I studied fashion design at Ryerson University, in Toronto. Menswear is way more interesting than womenswear, every colour just wishes it was black, and I’m really interested to see the direction Japanese pop-culture and fashion take now that FRUiTS magazine has officially folded. It’s the end of an era but I get to say I was here to see what happened next.
Recently I’ve started obsessing over UX Design and am having fun teaching myself to use InDesign and Adobe XD. I’m just your average, retired party-boy who comes out of retirement once in awhile, reminding me why I retired.
Often I find myself wishing my life was a Gregg Araki movie, although that is incredibly unrealistic. Because Jujifruit’s party is tonight, and I have no clue who to go with.
I walk into the world purse first. I don’t know why you all gagging.
